Eight women vying for title of Miss Burlington Area ChocolateFest 2013
BURLINGTON — Eight Burlington-area young women will compete for the title of Miss Burlington Area ChocolateFest 2013 at 2 p.m. May 26 on the Chocolate Festival Wanasek Stage. Named “the sweetest pageant in the state” by Stephanie Klett, secretary of Wisconsin tourism, this is the 28th year for this Miss Wisconsin Pageant local event, which is part of the Miss America Organization. Bees Blow It Again; Fall to Cougars 13-12
GENEVA, Ill. - For the second consecutive game the Burlington Bees (20-26) blew a save opportunity and lost to the Kane County Cougars (25-22). The Cougars scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth and beat the Bees with a 13-to-12 score.

A winding journey reaches 30th year

Wisconsin beats Bandits to claim sixth straight win
DAVENPORT, IA - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers claimed their sixth straight win with a 9-6 victory over the Quad Cities River Bandits on Thursday night at Modern Woodmen Park. It was probably just a coincidence that Wisconsin broke open a tie game with four runs in the sixth inning.
