Police kill man in shootout in central Va.
FARMVILLE Authorities say an armed man led police on a chase that ended with his death after a shootout. Farmville police said in a news release that 45-year-old William A. Wingfield Jr. was pronounced dead after exchanging gunfire Tuesday with a police officer in Prince Edward County.
