Former Fort Mill School Board chair Anne Suite dies at 75

Anne Suite, who served as chairwoman of the Fort Mill School Board in 1980s and was heavily involved the Fort Mill and Tega Cay communities, died Thursday. She was 75. Her funeral will be held May 30 at the Wolfe Funeral Home Chapel.

Charlotte-area police probing connection in Harris Teeter robberies

Police across the North Carolina-South Carolina border are looking into whether two armed robberies at Harris Teeters within hours of each other are connected. The first happened before 10 p.m. Monday at a 24-hour store in Fort Mill; the second, shortly after midnight at another 24-hour supermarket in Cornelius.
