Shippensburg man gets probation for 2010 Fannettsburg bar fight

CHAMBERSBURG -- A Shippensburg area man was sentenced Wednesday to two years of probation for his role in a Metal Township bar fight that ended when Gerald Buterbaugh fatally hit Dale Henry with his pickup truck.

The Monitor: Distracted driver crashes

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Michelle Shenk, 22, of Shippensburg became distracted by her cell phone when she was behind the wheel of her 1995 Toyota Tacoma, truck veered across the yellow center line and hit a 2000 Chevrolet 2500, driven by Ernest E. Sensenig, 65, Chambersburg at 10:15 a.m. Friday at 8690 Rice Road.

COLLEGE SPORTS: Bloomsburg wins Dixon Trophy; Shippensburg finishes 2nd

Thousands of dollars worth of tools stolen in Shippensburg

Thousands of dollars worth of tools have been stolen from Rine & Rine Builders in Shippensburg, according to Pennsylvania State Police in Carlisle. The police announced the theft on Saturday, although the act took place sometime between May 14 and May 16.
