Indian Valley police reports: Week of May 18
Accident A 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Elizabeth Ann Krout, 25, of Bedminster, began to rotate, crossed the road and hit a tree while trying to negotiate a left curve on Schwenksville Road near Springmount Road in Upper Salford about 5:50 a.m. May 10, Pennsylvania State Police in Skippack said.

Pennypacker Mills exhibit to commemorate 150th anniversary of Civil War
In commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War, a new exhibit will open on Tuesday, May 15 at historic Pennypacker Mills. “Call to Arms! Emergency Militia in Pennsylvania during the Gettysburg Campaign” will focus on the citizen soldiers from Pennsylvania, who were the first forces to defend the Commonwealth from the Confederate invasion in June, 1863.

Pennsylvania man motorcycles to Alaska for child illness
SCHWENKSVILLE -- Though the trip won't be easy, Ted Danforth hopes his 12,000-mile, solo motorcycle ride to Alaska will make life a little easier for the 300,000 children in the U.S. diagnosed with juvenile arthritis.
