Timken to close Canadian plant, move work to Bucyrus and other U.S. locations
The Timken Co. plans to close a 65-year-old Canadian plant and move work from there to Ohio, North Carolina and South Carolina. Timken said the St. Thomas plant was operating at about 20 percent of its capacity.

Pigeon River paper mill pollution fight postponed
Environmental groups reached a partial agreement with Blue Ridge Paper Products in Canton, NC, over the pollution it creates in the Pigeon River. The main legal fight over color pollution is postponed until January 2013.
