Three new charter middle schools for Queens
The latest crop of proposed charter schools in Queens has received an unusually warm welcome from local parent groups. Community Education Council District 24 voted unanimously at its Tuesday meeting to support the Middle Village Preparatory Charter School — marking the first time the mid-western Queens parents group has come out in favor of a charter school.
