WNMU-Deming offers ESL, GED preparatory classes

Even though the spring semester is finished, little has slowed down at the Western New Mexico University-Deming campus, 2300 E. Pine St. New ESL (English as a Second Language) classes offered free to students through the Adult Basic Education program and the Language Institute of WNMU began Monday, but classes continued to grow on Tuesday.

Bicycle fun ride

There are three new movers and shakers in town and they intend to get the public's attention on Sunday, June 3 in Deming. Three nutritional shake clubs in town are sponsoring a first-ever bicycle fun ride to help raise money for the Cancer Support Group of Deming and Luna County.
