Franklin Park wins $1 million EPA grant
Franklin Park’s new police station has been awarded a grant for $985,000 by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, Mayor Barrett Pedersen and Police Chief Michael Witz announced. Illini's Beckman lets son call play on family’s new home
While Illinois football coach Tim Beckman, who appeared in Springfield Monday, went recruiting this spring, so did his son, Alex. A football player, the eighth-grader toured high schools near the U of I selected Urbana High School, which opened a new football stadium with artificial turf last season. So the Beckman family decided to build in a subdivision a few miles from campus.
