Eustis wants to sell land to solar company BlueChip Energy

EUSTIS — City officials hope to sell city-owned land to a Lake Mary company wanting to build Florida's largest solar farm. BlueChip Energy already owns 200 acres in Sorrento, where the company plans to install a 40-megawatt field of solar panels, producing enough electricity for about 8,000 households. Eustis owns an adjacent 300 acres it had been using as a wastewater spray field.
