Southington soldier to be added to Connecticut Wall of Honor
HARTFORD — The portraits of seven state soldiers killed in the conflict in Afghanistan, including a Southington man, will be added to the Wall of Honor tribute in the State Capitol complex at the 5th annual addendum ceremony Thursday.

Southington school system raises $4,000 to support families of vets

20 China Relief Letters Among Items Taken In Southington Thefts
:Earlier this spring, a series of thefts took place at a home (originally reported in the April 4 edition of Antiques And The Arts Weekly ). The items stolen were in the attic, cellar and in various covered containers and storage boxes, so that their absence went undetected until the thieves began stealing things that were noticeable inside the home.

EPA, Connecticut officials compromise on waste water flowing into rivers
SOUTHINGTON — A meeting Thursday between state officials, the regional administrator for the federal Environmental Protection Agency and four Connecticut towns appears to have yielded some compromise on the amount of phosphorous allowed in treated wastewater flowing into rivers.
