Parker County escapee shoots himself in N.C. as deputies close in
Donald McFaden Orange II, who escaped from a work detail last week, fatally shot himself Tuesday morning in North Carolina as deputies were about to arrest him, authorities said.

Wind gust lifts, drops tent, injuring 4 at Boy Scout event in Orange
ORANGE – A strong gust of wind lifted tents at High Plains Fairgrounds and injured at least four individuals at the Connecticut Yankee Boy Scouts ConnJam 2012 at 12:13 p.m. according to a police statement. Two additional individuals went to the hospital on their own Fire marshal Tim Smith said. All injuries are believed to be minor.
