Farmers Market returns to downtown Darien
The popular Darien Farmers Market returned to Mechanic Street, behind the Darien Firehouse, last Wednesday, May 9. All the farmers and produce come from Connecticut. The market is open each Wednesday from 11-4, through December.

Race in the Park prepares fun-filled day of events

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Ten horses that were rescued from situations involving cruelty and neglect will be sold at a weekend auction. The rescued and rehabilitated animals have been cared for at the Department of Agriculture 's Second Chance Large Animal Rehabilitation Facility at the York prison in Niantic.
