26 hurt in East Haven as truck slams transit bus; some released from hospital (video, map)
EAST HAVEN — Twenty-six people were sent to the hospital early Monday after a truck crashed into the back of a Connecticut Transit bus, but police reported no critical injuries and said some patients already were being released Monday afternoon.

Yale study examines impact of environmental changes on alewife herring
NEW HAVEN — Environmental changes made back when the damming of Connecticut streams stranded some alewife herring in inland lakes 300 to 500 years ago have changed both the alewives and critters they feed on, such as water fleas, new Yale University research has found.

EAST HAVEN — Twenty-two people were injured — four or five of them seriously — when a heavy grease-rendering truck slammed into the back of a stopped Connecticut Transit bus in an early morning collision today on Frontage Road along Interstate 95, authorities said.
