Oversight Board approves next round of payment schedule

Supervisory candidates find enjoyment talking with constituents in intimate setting

All of the candidates for Kern County 1st District Supervisor gathered together for a unique event organized by the Democratic Club of the High Desert.  The event, called Dinner with the Candidates, brought people from all political parties, and gave everyone the opportunity to sit down with each candidate face-to-face to ask questions over a fine dinner provided by Victoria's at the Heritage Inn.

Senior Services of the IWV to offer Alzehimer’s assistance

Alzheimer’s assistance is now available in Ridgecrest. Beginning May 15, the Senior Services of IWV will host an Alzheimer’s caregiver consultation once a month. Residents can visit Senior Services of IWV from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month by scheduling an appointment with Kern County Area Director Leslie Hardt.
