Lady Eagles reach 5A state title game on a roll
Vilonia's Lady Eagles, after clearing some major hurdles, are heading into the state 5A championship softball game under a full head of steam. Vilonia will play White Hall for the title at 3 p.m. Saturday at the University of Arkansas' Bogle Field.

100 YEARS AGO May 6, 1912 WYNNE — The flood situation here is somewhat improved. Wynne was made one of the relief stations and at one time had some 3,000 refugees. The waters have receded to such an extent that a great many have returned to their homes. The relief stations issued rations to about 1,000 Saturday.

Forrest City man involved in fatal accident
According to Arkansas State Police, 46-year-old Robert Austill's vehicle was struck head on by a 2004 Lincoln driven by Darrell Sherman, 20, of New Orleans.
