Man tased, arrested in Robertsdale after two stolen trucks wrecked in chases
Robertsdale police set out spikes to stop the truck at the city limits, Sgt. Rex Bishop of the Robertsdale Police Department said. The driver wrecked the truck, fled on foot and stole another truck.

Man nabbed in Baldwin County after stealing two trucks
A truck stolen in Escambia County, Fla. was stopped with road spikes on U.S. 90 in Robertsdale, Sgt. Rex Bishop said. The man driving the truck ran from the stopped vehicle and stole another truck, Bishop said.

Fairhope man convicted in securities fraud case

Funding Baldwin County Education
Baldwin County voters approved a 1 cent sales tax increase two years ago that generates 27 million dollars a year. That tax expires next year. Now, the school board wants more.

New school tax needed in Baldwin, supporters tell County Commission
If the tax expires without more revenue being approved, Baldwin County schools will lose $30 million a year, Alan Lee, superintendent of education, said. A loss of $30 million annually would require the school system to make cuts including eliminating 421 jobs.

76-year-old Elberta woman charged in animal cruelty case (Updated)

Summerdale animal cruelty case going to Baldwin County grand jury
The two defendants were scheduled for a preliminary hearing on the felony charge Thursday in Baldwin County District Court. The Dueitt’s waived their right to a preliminary hearing and the case will be bound over to the grand jury, District Attorney Hallie Dixon said.
