Alabama man arrested for possession of a controlled substance
Ricky Eugene Prewitt, age 41 of Northport Alabama, was taken into custody Thursday morning after Nacogdoches police discovered he was in possession of cocaine.

Wildlife officials capture, relocate ducks in Indian Lake
Some unwelcome ducks that have made their home at Indian Lake in Northport will wake up in a different county later today. Wildlife biologists with the United States Department of Agriculture's Alabama Fish Farming Center sedated and captured ducks that have been living behind Indian Lake Apartments off Watermelon Road.
