Alabama GOP is seeking candidates for Madison County judgeship, will choose a candidate in June
The party decision created a vacancy for the Madison County nomination and the Alabama GOP will go through a review process to pick a nominee. Because there is no Democrat running for the seat, the state party is effectively selecting the next judge, who will serve a six-year term.

Madison County school systems unite after being forced to discard 2012-13 calendars (updated)
